REVIEW FROM THE COUPLE:
All I can say is AMAZING. The biggest part was getting my husband on board with the idea of having a videographer. So many people see photographers as a necessity for a wedding but not a videographer and I don’t understand why. After watching the finished product my husband was so thankful he listened to me (which like duh always listen to your fiance and/or wife). We have our special day captured beautifully and put together in a perfect highlight reel that we will be able to watch for years to come and maybe even one day share with our children. Working with Tessa and Madi day of was great! They knew when to step back and when to direct. It was a perfect balance. They were also just really cool people who I want to be friends with. They were able to make me laugh on my wedding day which is also a plus. Not to mention they made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. I would recommend them a million times over. SO worth it.
WHAT WENT DOWN
Literally obsessed with Colleen + Nick. We met them at the church for their wedding ceremony and then we all ventured over to Snug Harbor Botanical Garden where the rest of the day would go down and oh my gosh it was amazing. We ran around all of the different rose gardens + a literal maze, and got to spend hours on photo/video. A wedding videographers dream timeline! Since they didn’t do personal vows in the church, Colleen & Nick took some time during portraits to exchange private vows with each other. It was such a sweet moment. Not super private anymore since it made for the perfect storyline of this video but thats besides the point haha
The reception started a little earlier in the day than we’re used to, and it fully convinced us that more receptions need to start in the daylight. How beautiful was that first dance? Also fully convinced that I will be taking dance lessons before my first dance because DAMN Colleen + Nick killed it. Later in the night, Colleen changed into her grandmother’s wedding dress from the 50’s (which her mother ALSO wore – amazing) and they danced again – this time SWING. So so cute, we can’t deal with it. Colleen is also the DIY queen and created a macrame backdrop for their sweetheart table.
Overall, it was the absolute most perfect day and we would be their New York wedding videographers a million more times if we could!
